Michelle Doucet Featured at Yarmouth Creatives

Michelle lives in rural Nova Scotia where nature, philosophy, myth and legend influence her to create art that imparts good vibes and happiness to others when it finds its way to them. Many eclectic things peak her interest and fill her thoughts some of which flow out of her mind’s eye and manifest into reality.

She is a self taught artist and enjoys creating with wood, stone, clay, fabric, paper, mixed media and crystals. She operates a small boutique in Mayflower, NS, giving her an opportunity to display and sell her artworks among other eclectic things. There are carvings installed throughout the extensive gardens on the property surrounding her shop and people are encouraged to  wander the gardens, sit by the riverside and use the meditation labyrinth butterfly garden. She has an online presence at www.artsdefolle.com.

According to European legend, Wood Spirits are givers of good luck, happiness and peace. Did you know that the old saying “knock on wood, touch wood” originated from the age-old tradition of woodsmen knocking on wood to wake up the Spirit inside to bestow them with good luck and protection before they headed off into the dark, sometimes dangerous forest?
